
It's been over 12 years since I began working with tradesman, first in my role as Operations Manager and Service Manager for an air-conditioning business in Winnellie, then as the Business Manager for a local electrical company. After travelling for a couple of years and working as a business support contractor for other mechanical services businesses around Australia, I decided to continue this service back home in Darwin.
Though I specialise in air-conditioning and electrical industries, I have learnt one key thing - all small, trade businesses face very similar struggles.
When I entered the trade services field back in my early career, guidance or support was hard to find, and I made all the mistakes trying to simultaneously manage a family business, young kids and a team of technicians. What this gave me is an excellent understanding of how and what tradies & their team need to successfully and sustainably operate, with years of experience learning how to improve and implement systems, processes and policies that actually work.
I can perform ad-hoc tasks and training, provide ongoing support, or even take over the business administration altogether so that you can get on with what you do best - being a tradesman.
I have worked with numerous job & client management systems over the last 20 years, not least excel or paper-based methods, and recognise that comfort in a system is just as important as its efficiency. I am a ServiceM8 Partner, but I also work with clients using or interested in all other platforms.
Over the last few years, I have been fortunate to help many businesses sort out their biggest concerns and improve the way they operate.
